Reporting issues with assigned assets
Click any asset on My details → Assets to see details and report a problem.

What you can do
On My details β Assets, click any row to open the detail drawer.
If the asset is assigned to you, you'll see a Report an issue form below the details. Use it when:
- Equipment is damaged (e.g. cracked screen)
- It needs repair (still works but something's wrong)
- It's lost or stolen
- Something else worth flagging
What happens when you submit
- The asset's status updates automatically (UNDER_REPAIR for damage/repair, LOST if you marked it lost).
- A timestamped audit line is added to the asset's notes β visible to anyone with asset-management permissions.
- Your supervisor is notified in real time (if they're online). They can update the asset from the central Assets module.
Who can report
Only the current holder of an asset can report on it. Managers viewing someone else's profile see read-only details β they action the asset from Workplace β Assets.
