Hide a role from the staff schedule
Hide a role (e.g. Training) from the schedule staff see, while managers and the rostered staff member still see it.

If you roster extra coverage under a particular role (for example a Training role), you can hide that role from the schedule your staff see. This stops staff noticing the extra people on and assuming the location is overstaffed.
What hiding a role does
- Shifts with that role are removed from the schedule staff browse (both the role and staff views).
- Managers and admins still see every role on the schedule.
- A staff member rostered on one of those shifts still sees it in their own schedule, so they know to turn up.
How to turn it on
- Go to Settings β Roles.
- Open the role you want to hide (or create a new one).
- Scroll to the Visibility section.
- Turn on Hide this role from the staff schedule.
- Save the role.
You can turn it back off at any time using the same toggle.
